PrinceWatercress plays Bomberman '93 - Part 2 of 7

It's time for World 2, and things are going to get a little more exotic...and tougher.

World 2: Blossom Planet

Petunia sends out his flower friends. You'll have to take them down before he exposes his defenses.

B-1

The balloons, which are a staple Bomberman series enemy, are vanilla enemies, while the big pink and blue heads that bounce around take two hits to kill. They can double back in an instant, so be careful.

B-2

The heart icon acts as an extra hit if you find and collect it. You cannot stockpile hearts.

B-3

You now have blue flowers for enemies. They're pretty fast, but they tend to just move back and forth.

The blue portals warp you from one portal to another within the board. If you use a teleporter, you'll be temporarily invincible when you come out on the other side.

The icon of the foot kicking a bomb is the kick power-up. Walk into a bomb to kick it. It will override the power-up that allows you to walk through bombs, so be careful before taking it.

B-4

The pink butterflies move through the destructible obstacles. The orange cat heads will chase after you if they see you.

The purple Bombermen on the inner tubes are just for decoration.

This is also the first stage that can scroll vertically.

B-5

The blue bird with the bomb fuse on its head will explode like a regular bomb when you destroy it. Fighting it with remote detonation is the best way to go.

The smaller blue birds are faster than the pink butterflies, and can move through destructible obstacles.

If you die, you lose all your power-ups save for blast extensions and extra bombs. Thankfully, you can get the remote bombs back here.

B-6

There isn't anything new here.

B-7

Nothing new here either. You'd better be a little more knowledgeable on how to trap some of these enemies, though.

B-8

To beat Petunia, you'll need to expose him first. Kill off all of the enemies he sics on you while avoiding Petunia himself.

Once you've exposed him, you'll want to hit him with the explosions of your bombs. If Petunia runs into any of your bombs, they'll simply disappear.

Petunia also attacks with a set of rotating shields that spin around him before spreading apart either in the cardinal directions or diagonally. After two hits, he uses eight. Once you hit him two more times, Petunia will be red. Just two more hits and you'll be able to finish him off. Due to how the battle is, Petunia can be killed off quickly if you know what you're doing.

Petunia can still spawn two more flower enemies, and re-spawn them if you kill them off, so be careful.
