"Have a heart!"
Shipwreck Cliff
Climb to the top and make your way to the very front of the ship. Grab the key, then enter the door at the beginning. You'll see a fat woman. Talk to her, and she'll ask you to cut her father's change. She also says "Have a heart." She means it very literally, as she brings your maximum health to six hearts.
Enter the opening to the right and equip the Winged Helmet so you can jump over the chasm. Make your way down the cliff (which has all of the Faces of Evil carved on it) and talk to the old man. He is the Smith, and he asks you to cut the chains. Jump up and slash at the chains to free him. Since you have the Fire Diamond, he'll forge it into your sword to give you the Power Sword. Now you can fire sword beams regardless of how much health you have.
You can now leave. Lupay, just west of Nortinka, will open up. Speaking of Nortinka...
Nortinka
...go back up the tower and talk to Ipo the Reader again. He'll read the secret verse of the Book of Koridai, which explains that the only way to beat Ganon is to attack him with the Book of Koridai.
Goronu
If you need to, go back to Goronu and buy some Bombs and Rope.
